  katherine johnson passed away today aged 101. she was the subject of the excellent movie hidden figures that told the story of her amazing work as a mathematician calculating trajectories for space flights.. 'ms.

  johnson helped our nation enlarge the frontiers of space even as she made huge strides that also opened doors for women and people of color in the universal human quest to explore space.

  Very true simon but segregation was supported by both parties then later on the Democrat under the leadership of president Johnson voted in laws that help to end many of those decimations. After that many of the southern Democrats change parties and became Republican because they thought president Johnson betrayed them.

  Besides this thread was to honor a great scientist not throw in how bad us Democrats are. Which we are not. I ask this before, Why are you so insistent in dividing this forum instead of which you are good at helping all here to get over the trauma of leaving the borg? I don't care what others believe politically as long as I know they are honest trustworthy individuals. Thank you for letting me Express myself. Still Totally ADD

  i was thinking about this at work the other day, and realized the one positive thing i can truly credit the jws with: .

  i have no fear of public speaking.

  i was a shy kid, fat, clumsy, with crooked glasses and worse teeth, who wore hand-me-downs in one of the wealthiest counties in all of america, who sat still while classmates got up to salute the flag or recite the pledge of allegiance.

  Ignorance seems to me the biggest problem at this point. Many I have talk to or overheard their conversations don't really know how it started. They don't know it's a virus or what a pandemic is. Some think it will just stop when the weather gets warm or it's the end of the world. They don't even realize our country doesn't even have a working plan. Things could go down hill very fast or by some miracle scientists come up with a solution or it could be contain. Your guess is as good as mine. Stay healthy and safe everyone. Still Totally ADD

  JW old books and mags selling hot on ebay

  i look on ebay etsy and others.

  i see that the older books are selling for a good price.

  thanks to all who replied to my first post, i appreciate you taking the time to do so.. i left jws for my own reasons as a teenager as i just simply didn’t believe it .

  i am enjoying playing catch up with all the information out there now showing multiple examples of false prophecies , covering up the truth and the jw broadcasting stuff is amazing ( as said before i’ve just ignored the organisation for 30 years ) , it’s totally brainwashing evangelical propaganda.. however i digress .... as a young kid i used to ask , “if in paradise the “ lion will lay with lamb “ and all creatures will live in harmony, why for example does a snake have venom if not to eat another creature ?”.

  like i say i was 10 years old i remember so please excuse the childish question.. but do they actually believe that was gods original plan for animals ?

  Vidiot I stand corrected but the borg for the most part are city people. Unlike Australia the US does not have the problem with wildlife as much as those down under. Point is those folks back then lived alot closer to nature than the average person here in the US today. Take care. Still Totally ADD

  VE don't worry that was almost 35 years ago. I survived and now retired. Still with the same women I married almost 46 years ago. Been out of the borg for 10 years. Life is so much better. Still Totally ADD

  VE well written. I was one of those victims wanting to get some higher education for a skilled job but did not do it because I would miss meetings. What a chump I was. Also the mental illness you mention I say the same thing in the congregations I served. Take care. Still Totally ADD
